family sport. No profanity, alcohol, or illegal substances will be tolerated
at any AMBR sanctioned events.
Track Etiquette & rules:

unless authorized by an AMBR official. Please park in the designated pit
area. Your first order of business is to register with an AMBR official
for your particular race event. You must sign the track waiver (see forms
page), pay your
entrance fee for the race, and then have your buggy inspected by the
appropriate official. Any driver under the age of 18 must be accompanied
by a parent, the parent must sign the waiver (see forms link).
2. AMBR officials will notify you when the appropriate time for your
class practice runs will be.
3.When entering the track, only enter at the designated entrance, and when
exiting the track, exit at the designated exit.
4. During a race, in the event you have to leave the track, work your way
to the outside of the track, slow down, and hand signal that you are
exiting, then exit through designated area.
5. If you have a break down during a race, try and move to the center, or
outer perimeter of the track. Stay in your buggy, never get out of your
buggy, until a Stewart flags the race to a halt, and gives you a clear
signal to exit your buggy.
6. The track Stewart is king of the track, please respect all his
requests, and pay close attention to all his signals.
7. The end of the race will be signaled by a checkered flag, do not stop immediately
as you pass through the finish line, slow down, and drive slowly and carefully
until you reach the exit of the track.
8. We encourage drivers to refrain from bumping & nerfing, however we
want to make the sport fun and exciting. It will be up to the track
Stewart to determine if a driver is being overly aggressive or dangerous.
Dangerous drivers will be removed immediately from the track and
penalized.

FLAGS
|
|
GREEN
FLAG
Green represents the beginning or resumption of competition. This flag is
used at the beginning of a race or after a caution period to tell the
drivers that the track is clear and they should be racing for position.
YELLOW FLAG
A yellow flag means there is a hazard on the race track and the drivers
must slow down and stay in line. This flag typically is displayed when
there is an accident on the track, however it can be displayed for other
reasons such as debris on the track, emergency vehicle needing to cross
the track or any other sort of track hazard. It
is forbidden to pass or change position during a yellow flag condition
unless specifically told to by race officials. Doing so will result in
penalties.
WHITE FLAG
A white flag means that
there is one more lap to go in the race. This flag is displayed exactly
once to each driver per race.
CHECKERED FLAG
It’s over, the race
has been completed. If you are the first one to receive the checkered flag
then you have won the race.
RED FLAG
The red flag means that
all competition must immediately stop. Including any repair work being
performed on a buggy entered into that particular race. This means that if
a vehicle has pulled off the track for a fix, hoping to resume the race,
all work must stop. The red flag will be displayed as long as needed by
the track Stewart. A yellow flag follows the red flag to indicate
the race can start again then followed by the green flag to resume racing
for position. Work on a vehicle may resume at the display of the yellow
flag.
BLACK FLAG
The black flag is officially called “the consultation flag”. It means
that the driver that receives it must immediately pit to respond to a race
official concern. Frequently the black flag is given to a driver who
breaks a rule of some type such as passing under the yellow flag, ignoring
a flag, deliberate bumping or dangerous conduct. It can also be given to a
driver whose buggy is smoking excessively or dropping parts on the track
[or in danger of doing so] or a driver that is not maintaining a minimum
safe speed on the track. Ignoring
the black flag will mean disqualification from the race. Generally a
driver failing to comply after receiving the black flag for more than a
couple of laps will be disqualified.
BLUE FLAG
This is the”
courtesy” flag or the “move over” flag. It is the only flag that is
optional. A driver may, at his discretion ignore this flag. It is
displayed to slower drivers to let them know a much faster buggy is coming
up behind them or the leader has caught up behind them and that they
should be courteous and move over to allow faster buggies to continue.
Again this flag is optional… but the sanctioning body takes a dim view
of anyone who repeatedly and without a darn good reason ignores the blue
flag.
